AIIA Code of Business Practice
The Australian Insulation Installers Association Ltd (AIIA) is dependent on its Members agreeing to observe high
standards of honesty, integrity, and respect in their interaction with other AIIA members, and whilst representing
AIIA with Government Agencies and Industry representatives and to be bound by the requirements of the Code of
Business Practice.
Members:
- Shall develop and maintain best practice standards in relation to the environment and sustainability and occupational health and safety.
- Agree to comply with all applicable legislative requirements including, the Corporations Act, and the Competition and Consumer Act and the Customs Act.
- Undertake to promote the benefits of insulation to the building industry, government agencies and consumers.
- Undertake to provide appropriate training and development of staff involved in installation of insulation.
- Commit to ensuring employment or contract opportunities are open to people from diverse skill sets and abilities regardless of race, religion, age, sexuality or gender.
- Promote a safe, viable, responsive and progressive Insulation Industry.
- Promote by example the highest respect for the insulation industry and in their business dealings.
- Observe the highest standards of honesty, integrity and respect in communications and interaction with other AIIA members, Government Agencies and Industry representatives and take every opportunity to promote the role and good reputation of AIIA and its members.
- Avoid making demeaning and/or critical comment of other members.
- Commit to enhancing and maintaining the public image and status of AIIA and its members.
- Declare conflicts of interest and potential conflicts of interest as soon as they become aware of the conflict(s).
- Ensure products supplied or distributed meet required standards and building codes for promoted applications.
- Ensure products supplied are fit for purpose and are presented with the right safety data information to support safe handling, installation and use of insulation.
